Planning Your Visit

To ensure safe, customized sessions, my clients are required to complete a Health Intake Form before your first appointment.

It is your responsibility to relay all of your health information accurately and to notify me of any updates to your health status, so that I can modify your session to meet your needs as necessary.

When should you arrive for your massage session?

If this is your first session, please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time (if you have already completed the health intake form) so that we may discuss your health history, the session and your goals.  You can also choose to come early and complete a health history form in my waiting area.

If you have received a massage from me before, your health history is securely kept by me following HIPAA regulations.  Please allow enough time for you to arrive without rushing.  Consider your travel to my studio part of your relaxation process if possible.

What happens if I am late getting to my appointment?

If you are late arriving for your scheduled appointment, we will discuss your goals and priorities for the shortened session as we start your session as quickly as possible. Your session time will not be extended. I will always be ready to start your session at your appointment time.

What should I do if I am not feeling well before an appointment?

There are times when massage is not good for you and could actually make you feel worse. If you are ill, please contact me before your scheduled appointment to discuss whether massage is appropriate. It may be necessary to reschedule your session to protect your health as well as mine.

Massage is not intended to provide diagnosis or to serve as a substitute for medical treatment. It may be necessary at times to refer you to a physician or other healthcare provider.
